Graduate Program Director of the Practice in Public Policy and Urban Affairs
Linda Kowalcky teaches public policy, public administration, and works with Northeastern University’s CSSH internship programs. Her career includes senior positions in government as well as academia. Most recently, Linda served as liaison to higher education to former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, with responsibility for higher education policy, city-university partnerships, and campus planning for the 34 colleges and universities in Boston. She also served as senior staff in the U.S. House of Representatives. Linda previously taught American government and public policy as an assistant professor of political science at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and has also taught at Wellesley College, Northeastern University, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Tracy Corley

Director of Programs, Arlington Campus; Professor of the Practice in Public Policy and Urban Affairs
Tracy Corley, Director of Programs, Arlington Campus, College of Social Sciences and Humanities, is frequently sought as an expert, public speaker, and guest lecturer in community-engaged research and planning, public policy, law, sustainability, environmental justice, and equitable development. Her work explores transformative policies and science that advance justice and equity through community engagement. She also actively leads collaborations that promote anti-racist and anti-oppressive research, planning, and policies. In 2021, she was appointed to the Social and Community Science subcommittee of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Board of Scientific Counselors.

Mark G. Henderson

Professor of Public Policy
Mark Henderson teaches courses in public policy, environmental studies, and Asian studies at Mills College, now part of Northeastern University. His research focuses on social and environmental policy problems in the United States and China, often using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He has supervised over 200 graduate students working on community-based policy projects and now serves as the Oakland, California research director for Northeastern's Community to Community (C2C) Impact Engine. He previously taught at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Lanzhou University, China, and was a GIS analyst at MassGIS in Boston and at the U.S. EPA's National Environmental Research Laboratory in North Carolina.

Gregory M. Zimmerman is the master’s program director and an associate professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. He was recently appointed as the director of big data and quantitative methods initiatives within the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. Zimmerman’s record combines strong commitment to graduate education with leading research on the spatial distribution of crime. His scholarship examines the intersection of psychological risk factors for violent offending and familial, peer, and neighborhood ecologies.

Nausheen Masud

Curriculum Specialist and Program Manager Criminology and Criminal Justice

Nausheen Masud is the Curriculum Specialist and Program Manager at the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University. In her role, Nausheen helps the Master's Program Director to advise students and to answer any questions they have about registration, the PlusOne program, degree plans, graduation, and more.

Nausheen earned a B.S. in Human Biology from University of Toronto, Canada and a Master’s degree in Administrative Sciences from Boston University. In her previous work experiences, she has extensively supported program management and operations in various academic fields, working with K-12 and higher education populations. She has also have managed the content development and administration of the in-class and online programs. During her free time, she enjoys photography, Zumba and spending time with her three children.

As an admissions counselor for Northeastern University’s CSSH programs, Julianne is passionate about assisting students through the admissions process with a graduate program that aligns with their career objectives. Julianne holds a bachelor’s degree with double majors in fashion design and fashion merchandising and double minors in studio art and business administration from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois.
